Ohio native Robert Hines (1912-1994) holds the distinction of being the only U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service employee hired as a full-time artist. His official title was "National Wildlife Artist." Hines developed his love of nature growing up along the verdant banks of the Sandusky River in Fremont, Ohio. Despite almost no formal training, his artistic talent was recognized worldwide. Hines also was key in developing the federal Duck Stamp program and had one of his works accepted. This exclusive exhibit showcases his life and his work on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Closed on Mondays.

Bowling Green State University Firelands Campus is hosting the 9th House District Democratic Debate between U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur and U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Kaptur and Kucinch will be joined on stage by a third Democratic candidate in the primary race, Graham Veysey, of Cleveland. The debate begins at 7:30 pm with the doors opening at 7 pm in the Cedar Point Center Auditorium. There will be an audience participation portion during the second half of the debate with rapid-fire and rapid-response questions for the candidates.
